Sheerness

Quite a rare early surviving Burton shopfront with the ‘chain of merit’ window lights listing other branch locations, narrow window mullions and a curved glass corner, but sadly neglected. Some of the window lights have been broken and lost, and the Burton logo vent grates are disappearing.

Locations listed in the window lights: London, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Leicester, Newcastle, Portsmouth, Birmingham, Bradford, Belfast, Dublin, Bristol, Southampton, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Plymouth, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Derby, ? and Aberdeen.
